Christmas Gifts For Diva Daughters
When it comes to Christmas most have us have many people to buy gifts for, whether it is our families, our friends even our neighbours, but often one of the most important Christmas gifts we buy is for our daughters. Daughters can be the most fussiest of receivers at Christmas, they develop their personalities and preferences much sooner than boys and will have higher present expectations. Let's face it most boys want the latest games console and although these gadgets can cost mega bucks, they just don't make your heart drop as much as the words "Can I have a pony?" So how can you get it right when Christmas shopping for the little diva in your life?
Well, firstly you have got to consider her age. Dads in particular can fluff up at this stage. One piece of merchandise featuring the wrong pop star or kids TV show can put an end to the Christmas cheer in your house! Another consideration of course is personality. A gift really needs to focus in on their interests or else what is the point.
Babies and newborns are undoubtedly the easiest age to buy for; they don't know what they're getting right? Well this is true but wouldn't it be nicer if you could buy them something they'll have for life? When considering memorable gifts for her think personal. Engravings are a great way to ensure your gift will be kept for many years to come. Baby bracelets and bangles can both be engraved as can trinket boxes for keeping their locks of hair or baby teeth within. Other options are silver baby spoons and baby hair brushes, and your little princess can preserve these gifts to pass on to her own mini me in years to come.
As your little angel grows older she will be getting in to anything and everything. For the more creative souls make and do kits are a Godsend. Not only will they love the chance to make their own jewellery or learn to cross-stitch, but it will keep them quiet for hours on end!
For school goers, why not source useful items such as pencil cases and school bags featuring their favourite pop stars or TV show characters. Gifts like these are bound to make them the coolest kids in the playground.
If you are faced with a moody teenager and risk anything personal being thrown back at you in a whirlwind of teenage angst then you should definitely consider an experience day. Not only will it get them out of the house but will give them the opportunity to try new and more importantly legal, thrills. Adrenaline rushes are always popular with teens, such as bungee jumping, abseiling or even zorbing. For the more reserved young ladies, you could opt for a day at the spa or a make-up course. Days like these will make your teen feel more adult and you can't be accused of treating them like a kid then can you?
As your princess matures and becomes a queen in her own right, she will appreciate more personal gifts. Personalised champagne and chocolates are always a winner and if accompanied by engraved champagne flutes you really will be the greatest gift buyer in her eyes.
Whatever the age, whatever the interest make sure you take both into consideration in making this Christmas the best one yet.

The New York City Ballet Dolls Collection
Tonner Dolls have collaborated with the New York City Ballet in the Fall of 2008 to create ballerina dolls showing the fluid motion of the dance arts. These dolls are the favorite of ballet enthusiasts and doll collectors alike. The dolls measure 16 inches tall with bendable joints and fantastically bendable wrists. The head of these ballerinas are fashioned after the "Emilie" head anatomy and its bust line is smaller compared to the traditional Tyler-style 16-inch dolls.
The ballet dolls collection includes The Nutcracker, NYCB Dance Class dolls, and Swan Lake. However most of these dolls on Tonner's website are already sold out. They also have other ballet dolls collection but these are not associated with the New York City Ballet. Part of these ballerina dolls that are not part of the NYCB collection is the Dance of the Witch collection that has the witches of the Wizard of Oz.
Some dolls that are part of the NYCB dolls collection are as follow:
1) Snowflake - She has a silver multi-layered tutu with rhinestone details, arm bands, and a beaded crown.
2) Sleeping Beauty - The ballerina has a peach dress with gold lining and a gold ballet shoes. Her curly golden pulled-back hair is then accented with a bunch of white flowers.
3) Cavalier - This is a male doll which has satin beaded top and knit tights with a set of flat ballet slippers.
4) Sugar Plum Fairy - This ballerina doll has a brunette pony-tailed hair topped with a silver crown and on her hand is a silver fairy wand. She wears a white tutu with pink lining and accents on the sleeve's and bust area.
5) Marie's Special Gift - This character is the NYCB version for the traditional character in Nutcracker, Clara. The doll with a curly long blonde hair is dressed in taffeta with laces and faux fur. Her accessories come with shoes, display stand, and a miniature toy soldier.
6) Marzipan - This ballerina doll has a blonde pony tail topped with a colorful hat. She wears a pink striped tutu adorned with fruits, leaves, and vegetables for its trimmings.
These are just some NYCB ballerina doll characters that were launched in 2008. Some of these collectibles are already sold out, thus making it a high value collectible due to its rarity. Nevertheless, there are other doll collections on their Tonner's website although mostly the collections are based on movies. You can also check for their other recent releases such as the Fashion Zombies and Hollywood Glamour.
